Getting back on track

Hey y’all!

I know it’s been a minute since I updated the blog. If your still here with me, know that I appreciate you. This move to Atlanta has been a very good one. That doesn’t mean it hasn’t been without its ups and downs but overall I know I made the right decision to switch things up in my life.

I truly believe you can’t keep complaining about a life you aren’t willing to change.

Honestly, this is the first time I have really lived all the way alone. People will tell you that it is something that every person needs to experience. What they wont tell you is the serious mental adjustment that it takes to go from WE to ME. Small things like re-learning how to grocery shop, cook and eat for one. Big things like the crushing loneliness that can overtake you when you live in a new place and don’t know anyone. It took me about a month and a half to really adjust to being in this space by myself. But I like it and I am beginning to appreciate it more and more everyday. 781F8B01-05AF-4BF0-8EB6-B66E4BC0DD2B

To date, since I left the Bull City, I’ve lost about 40 pounds. That’s a pretty big change for me. It amazes me how people respond so much differently to you based upon your weight. That part of weight loss kind of sucks. I am the same person. Just a little less meat but still plenty of cushion for the pushing!

There’s so much more to share, and I promise to update soon to share more in detail. I just wanted to let you all know the old girl is still kicking, still having crazy adventures and still ready to share it all with you.

Until later,
